It has been long since I updated this blog. Today I thought that I should make some post. I was thinking of sharing my thoughts about CFD, Engineering and my own life.
I am a B.Tech graduate of Government Engineering College Thrissur and M.Tech Graduate of IIT Bhubaneswar.I had a keen interest in science from childhood with a lean towards maths as my father was a mathematics teacher at highschool. Picking up interest in science subjects I got into Engineering with a merit rank of 390 for my first attempt. I could have got into CET ,but decided to stay at Thrissur as I want to give an attempt into IITs .Even though I had got an up from 18,000s to 9417 , I decided to stay at Thrissur (Even though I had some regrets at that time). It is a class from Prof. Jayee , I got intrested in thermal science. I took some courses in MOOC platforms like NPTEL and Coursera. Prof. Suman Chakraborty sir's lectures on advanced fluid mechanics and Computational Fluid Dynamics ignited a spark in me. I wanted to build a career in CFD. I did my B.Tech project in CFD as well.
Move forward to 2022, I got 1957 in gate merit list.With a passion for CFD I took thermal science.my thesis work was in relation with CFD. These two years were a important time where I could hone my skills.
My current field of expertise is in numerical modelling, phase change process from solid to liquid, conjugate heat transfer. I also have used Openfoam, ANSYS FLUENT, SCFLOW, SCSTREAM, inhouse solver and have programming skills in python, fortran, C++ and VBS. My knowledge in these are not in depth, but good enough. I am exploring areas like turbulence modelling, parallel programming (mpi,openmp, openacc,etc.), GPU programming using CUDA , electrochemical modelling of batteries and fuel cell,coupling of PINN with CFD, (list goes on and I don't have much time on each).
